Lawful Basis For Processing

Review and update your privacy and cookie notices ensuring they contain the information required under the GDPR.


You need to include third parties with whom you share data including: 

  • Analytics tools such as Google Analytics*
  • Apps and services which integrate with your website with whom you share data for processes, for example accounting, delivery, postcode lookup, reviews such as Tradebox, Astute, UPS, Ideal Postcodes, Reviews.co.uk
  • Payment processors such as Paypal, Sagepay, ePDQ
  • Email service providers such as Mailgun, Mailchimp
  • Social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter
  • Widgets, plug-ins and add-ons for external services such as Tawk and other chat agents, Optimizely, Crazy Egg
  • Content Delivery Networks (CDN's) which deliver your content across their networks such as Cloudflare
  • Apps built for your website by a website designer which may use built-in cookies or local data storage or which provide data sharing


How To Find Third Party Services On Your Site

  • Login to Admin and go to: 
    • Integrations > Connect (for a list of the common third party services in use)
    • Integrations> Mailchimp 
    • API Settings > API Accounts

NB They are only in use where values are entered in the fields

  • Login to your Google Tag Manager account, if you have one, to see which scripts have been added to the site
  • Check your web pages for services which may appear on the page, such as online chat
  • Check any subscriptions / payments made to online services used on websites and check if they are still in place 
  • Run a cookie audit as part of implementing Cookie Manager
  • Commission a full audit - contact us to audit your site on an hourly chargeable basis


*Google Analytics

There are new options for Google Analytics tracking to provide for greater privacy (ref: GA amendment). These are set up in Console under the SEO / Analytics tab, or you may have it set up in Google Tag Manager in which case you will need to refer to the settings they provide in Tag Manager.
