You can now integrate with the Google Maps API to allow customers to lookup their address details quickly using Google Maps.


Getting access to the Google Maps API and adding the API Keys to REC


First you will need to go to https://console.developers.google.com/ and log in with your Google Account.


Once you've done that, you will need to set up Billing for your account (the Google Maps API requires this in order to work), which you can do by clicking the 3 bars in the top left corner and selecting "Billing" from the sidebar.


Once that's all set up, you can follow the video below to set up a Project, Enable the necessary APIs and retrieve your API Key.




Once you've followed the steps in that video and have your API Key, you just need to paste it in to Admin > Connect > Delivery > Google Maps API > API Key and hit "Update Settings".


After that, you can enable the Address lookup in Admin > Site Settings > Delivery > Address Finder / Postcode Lookup by setting Adapter to "Google Maps Javascript API".
