In 2025, trade tariffs were added to imports to the US which can be calculated in one of two ways:

1. Integrate with a shipping service which handles tariffs etc.
The service we suggest is Easyship as we have done some previous integration work with them. You will need to check them out to see if they're suitable and for their charges, and we can then quote for whatever work is required to get the integration in place.

2. Add a Delivery Service Uplift %
This is simpler and uses an existing feature where you can enter a % Uplift amount based on the product value (e.g. 10% calculated on all order items) which is added to the order within the delivery charge. The uplift amount would be the tariff percentage.

For example you can see below where the uplift field is when you edit the Delivery Service:

The delivery service needs to be specific to the US only. If you had other countries in there then you'd need to separate them out into their own services and apply the uplift to the US delivery service only.

You can update the description of your delivery service to say it includes the tariff charge. It is not split out separately to the delivery charge.

Displaying tariff charges separately  on your order acknowledgements

The tariff can be split out and shown separately on order acknowledgements and in the order email as well for a charge of £275+VAT.  It won't appear separately in other parts of the system such as Order Manager and reports. Please contact your account manager to arrange this.

Testing

Be sure to conduct your own testing by placing orders with different delivery addresses and making sure the delivery charge is what you expect.
