NOTE: It is extremely important that the below rule is always followed when creating hyperlinked images / text within your website. You run a serious risk of loosing someone completely from returning back to your website, if the below is not followed correctly.

1. If the link is internal to the website, for example you have a page already setup called /about_us.html, and you would like to link an image ( or text ) on your home page to this page. You follow the normal process for hyperlinking within the text editor, but under the tab entitled "Target", select the "Same Window (_self)" option and save.

What you have achieved from doing, is allowing the user to move around your site in the same browser window.

2. If the link is external to the website, for example you would like to link an image ( or text ) on your home page to the BBC website. You follow the normal process for hyperlinking within the text editor, but under the tab entitled "Target", select the "New Window (_blank)" option and save.

What you have achieved from doing, is allowing the user to retain your website open in one browser window, but have the BBC website open in a separate window.
