Standard options are a template for quickly adding in groups of options to products to save time and ensure uniformity.
1. Go to Standard Options
2. Add each option
Group = Option group such as Size or Colour
Name = Option e.g. Size 9 or red
Code = Product code for this option (if different to the main product code)
Price = Price difference to be added or subtracted to the main product price, e.g. 1.00 or -1.00. Note: This is the price including tax.
Qty = The quantity you have in stock (if you are using stock control at an option level)
Weight = Extra weight to be added to the product weight. The unit of weight is set in Site Definitions > WEIGHT_MEASUREMENT
Tip: Units of weight are whole numbers, so for example if you sell some items in grams and some in kilograms, then use grams as the measure. If you generally round up to the nearest kilogram (or pound), then use kilograms (or pounds) as the measure.
A set of Standard Options could look like this:
Group | Name | Code | Price | Qty | Weight |
Size | Size 9 | X8879 | -1.00 | 10 | 0 |
Size | Size 10 | X8880 | 0.00 | 9 | 0 |
Size | Size11 | X8881 | 1.00 | 4 | 1 |
3. Click Add New Option
4. Once you have added an option you can Edit / Delete it.
Notice that you need to edit options on a line-by-line basis, before moving to the next line.
Note: Add/Edit Image is not currently in use. To show an image for a product option you need to enter it as an additional image to the main product currently.
