To save time keying in individual user data from lists, you can import it into the database in user groups.

Setup a new user group if required e.g. Prospects and record the Group ID shown.

Getting the users in:

Method 1 - paste the email addresses into the Subscribe tab in Manage Subscribers & Assign New Users to the group set up above. This gets them into the database fastest with just their email address.

Once the users are in the database you can send an email campaign to that new group.

Method 2 - Import them as users if you want to add all their details.

Format the list in a CSV file with the first row containing the column headings (you can obtain an example of this in the Export System > Users). You will probably want to add contact details and other fields this way plus other relevant fields

i.e.

user_activated=1
level=user
send_emails=1
user_group_id_1 = [enter the id of the required user group]

If you are using ecommerce to take orders, check valid address entries in Delivery Manager > View Delivery Regions for regions and countries.

  • It is recommended you take an export of the current user data in Export Manager first as a backup

  • Import the new data in Import Manager

  • Check it has imported in User Manager by searching on the first and last entries in your spreadsheet

You now have the user data in the database and can email them or add them as prospects in Prospect Manager.
