To save time keying in individual user data from lists, you can import it into the database in user groups.

Setup a new user group if required e.g. Prospects and record the Group ID shown.

Getting the users in:

Method 1 - paste the email addresses into the Subscribe tab in Manage Subscribers & Assign New Users to the group set up above. This gets them into the database fastest with just their email address.

Once the users are in the database you can send an email campaign to that new group.

Method 2 - Import them as users if you want to add all their details.

Format the list in a CSV file with the first row containing the column headings (you can obtain an example of this in the Export System > Users). You will probably want to add contact details and other fields this way plus other relevant fields

i.e.

id: leave blank (blank for new users, the system will auto assign new ids & leave existing ids in place for existing users)
user_email: required
joinedactivation_code: leave blank
user_activated: 1
membership_code: dealer/customer number sent to axis (for retail leave blank and we'll send 3393 as the retail code)
status: "part-approved" used internally for guest checkouts where they don't yet have a full login, "approved" is full accounts with login ability.
level: user
full_name: customer/contact name
... skip most other columns...
send_emails: 1
user_group_id_1: [enter the id of the required user group]
we also have user_group_id_2 and user_group_id_3
business_name: company name, optional
... skip remaining columns...

If you are using ecommerce to take orders, check valid address entries in Delivery Manager > View Delivery Regions for regions and countries.

  • It is recommended you take an export of the current user data in Export Manager first as a backup

  • Import the new data in Import Manager

  • Check it has imported in User Manager by searching on the first and last entries in your spreadsheet

You now have the user data in the database and can email them or add them as prospects in Prospect Manager.
